Classic Entertainment – Terms and Conditions

If you wish to book Jon and other performers for entertainment at your private event, then important following Terms and Conditions will apply.

These will form the basis of the booking contract signed by both parties in advance.

Event Terms and Conditions:

Definitions –

The Client – the person, people or organisation requesting the entertainment

The Performers – the musical artists engaged to give the performance as requested on the dates and times agreed.

  1. All requests for entertainment are subject to the availability of The Performers and allocated on a first come, first served basis. You are therefore advised to give as much notice as possible to secure a booking.
  2. Once a booking is agreed, and the contract is signed, the date of the performance or event cannot be changed. This would be viewed as a cancellation and would incur the relevant cancellation charges as per the terms of this contract.
  3. The Client is most welcome to suggest the theme for the entertainment as per the advertised themes on the website www.jonopenshaw.co.uk, which are subject to change from time to time.

    a. The programme proposed by The Performers will be in line with the selected theme, with the content of the programme being at the discretion of The Performers.

    b. Any requests for specific songs by The Client must be agreed in advance of finalising the booking, with any additional charges for the specific song requests agreed in advance. No specific song requests can be accommodated in other circumstances.

    c. The overall theme of the programme may not be changed once the booking has been agreed.

    d. At the request of The Client, the programme of songs proposed may be shared with The Client in advance of the performance (not following any fixed timescale), however any changes to the programme thereafter are fully at the discretion of The Performers.

  4. The Performers agree to provide all electrical equipment necessary to give the performance, unless otherwise agreed in writing at the point of booking.
  5. A deposit of 50% of the overall agreed fee shall be paid within 14 days of the booking being agreed and the Terms and Conditions being signed. Should the deposit funds not be received within this timescale then the date of the performance may be reallocated to another Client without notice.
  6. The balance of 50% of the fees for any performance shall be paid on or before the date of the performance. Should this clause not be met then interest may be charged.
  7. In the event of cancellation by The Client, the following fees shall be payable:

    a. 50% of fees (taken as deposit) – payable in all circumstances

    b. 70% of fees – If less than 30 days’ notice of cancellation is received

    c. 80% of fees – If less than 14 days’ notice of cancellation is received

In this circumstance:

    a. The overall theme of the concert will not be changed

    b. The programme of songs presented may be changed, however the programme will be in keeping with the agreed overall theme.

    c. A partial discount or refund may be reasonably offered if the number of performers is reduced or the length of programme presented is reduced.

  9. In the event of cancellation by The Performers, due to sickness or other circumstances that prevent the agreed artist or artists from taking part in the event, a full refund will be offered to The Client.
